General Performance Index©
(GPI: General Performance Index): "It is an index that measures the performance that a tennis player has had in a given period of time." This index, not shown here, is used to make the "General Performance Ranking© or GPI Ranking© ".

The following tournaments, which correspond to the month of September, have been included for the determination of the Top 30 of the General Performance Rank-ing©:

•    Copa Davis – Group I y II (hard and clay).
•    St. Petersburg Open – ATP 250 (hard).
•    Moselle Open – ATP 250 (hard).
•    Laver Cup – (hard).
•    Chengdu Open – ATP 250 (hard).
•    Huajin Securities Zhuhai Champion-ships – ATP 250 (hard).
•    China Open – ATP 500 (hard).
•    Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Champi-onships – ATP 500 (hard)
•    Laver Cup - (hard).

The ATP Ranking of the players, which has been considered for this report, is on Octo-ber 7th, 2019.

The 192 players who have participated in those 9 tournaments and who compound the statistic sample that has been considered for the statistical calculations, we reiterate, only the 30 with the best performance are exposed in this report.

We highlight the September podium formed by Dominic Thiem (AUT), Joao Sousa (POR) and Egor Gerasimov (BLR), in posi-tions 1, 2 and 3 of the GPI Ranking©, respectively.

Other prominent players in the TOP 10 of the GPI Ranking© are: Pablo Carreno Busta (ESP), Lloyd Harris (RSA), Adrian Mannarino (FRA), Stefanos Tsitsipas (GRE), Aljaz Bedene (SLO), Alex De Minaur (AUS) and Denis Shapovalov (CAN).

Apparently, during the month of September, the Top 10 players of the ATP Ranking took a break in the demanding 2019 season. The only two Top 10 of the ATP Ranking in the Top 10 of the GPI Ranking© are Dominic Thiem and Stefanos Tsitsipas (table 2). This gives us the guideline that it is very difficult to maintain excellent performance throughout the season. Players must recover and regulate their energies to face the last stage of the season.

Next, the tables with their respective performance rankings or GPI Ranking© are exposed as is usual, in each analyzed aspect of the 30 players that achieved the highest per-formances during the analysis period.
